Summary

Union County is located in northern Florida and is the smallest county in the state by land area. With a population of approximately 15,000, it's largely agricultural and is also home to the Union Correctional Institution.

History

Created in 1921, Union County was carved out of Bradford County and is named for the concept of political unity.
